Our partner for custom-built e-bike batteries

How Gbike and LiVerkstaden Work Together

When you order a GBIKE 1 kit and choose to include a battery, the battery order is handled separately by our partner LiVerkstaden AB. Each battery is built to order in Sweden by LiVerkstaden, so you receive a newly produced and quality-tested battery pack.

How it works in practice

  1. You order your GBIKE 1 kit through Gbike and select that you want a battery.
  2. LiVerkstaden sends you a separate invoice for the battery and charger.
  3. Once payment is completed, production of your battery starts.
  4. The battery is shipped directly to you from LiVerkstaden.

This setup gives you a direct relationship with the battery manufacturer, full warranty support directly from the producer, and confidence that your battery is newly built and tested to high quality standards.

Battery cells

The batteries are built with quality cells and tested before delivery.

Why separate invoicing?

Because the batteries are custom-built and shipped directly from the producer, you get a clear chain of responsibility and direct contact with the warranty provider.

Warranty and Terms

Below are LiVerkstaden's warranty terms and sales conditions for custom-built e-bike batteries. These terms also apply when you buy a battery together with a GBIKE 1 kit.

1. Parties and scope

These terms apply to the sale of custom-built e-bike batteries from LiVerkstaden AB to consumers. They supplement mandatory consumer protection law, primarily the Swedish Consumer Sales Act and the Swedish Distance Contracts Act.

2. Contract formation and right of withdrawal (distance sales)

A contract is formed when the customer accepts a written quote or order confirmation. Batteries are built to order and are custom-made.

For distance sales, a 14-day right of withdrawal applies under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act. For custom-built batteries, the withdrawal right ends once production has started, provided the customer was informed in advance and expressly approved the start of production.

If the customer cancels before production has started, paid amounts will be refunded.

3. Payment and delivery

Payment is made by invoice with a 10-day due date, unless otherwise agreed.

In case of late payment, the seller may charge statutory reminder fees and default interest under applicable law. Unpaid invoices may be transferred to debt collection and, if necessary, to enforcement proceedings.

Invoice payment is a voluntary option offered after a credit assessment. The seller reserves the right to require advance payment for future purchases.

Delivery takes place as agreed. Risk transfers to the consumer upon receipt of the goods. Any transport damage must be reported promptly.

4. Warranty, handling, and safety

In addition to statutory complaint rights, a two (2) year warranty is provided from the delivery date. The warranty is an additional commitment and does not limit statutory consumer rights.

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser, unless otherwise expressly agreed before resale.

Warranty claims must be made within a reasonable time after the fault is discovered.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Drops, impact, or mechanical damage
  • Moisture, water exposure, or condensation
  • Use of an incorrect charger
  • Improper storage
  • Modification of or opening the battery

Important handling information

Regular charging: The battery must be maintained by charging it regularly, generally once per quarter.
Low state of charge: The battery must not be stored for more than two months at about 0-20% charge. It may self-discharge below 0% and become damaged. This is especially relevant for batteries with Bluetooth.
Storage: The battery should be stored indoors. Storage longer than about 14 days should be at 15-25°C. Temperatures inside vehicles can reach around 75°C on hot summer days, so the battery must not be stored in a vehicle.
Correct charger: The battery may only be used with the bike or device it was made for and must only be charged with the original charger or an equivalent one (verify voltage and amperage).
Water protection: The battery must not be submerged or soaked. It is not waterproof. Moisture ingress can occur even during normal use, especially if the battery has been exposed to impacts.

⚠️ Batteries that have been dropped, exposed to strong impacts, or involved in an accident must not be used without inspection by LiVerkstaden AB. Submit your battery for inspection if it has taken a hard hit. A damaged lithium battery is a fire hazard.

5. Personal data

Personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and used for administration, invoicing, and delivery. Data may be shared with payment and collection partners when necessary.

6. Disputes

In case of a dispute, recommendations from the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) are followed. Disputes may also be tried by a general Swedish court under Swedish law.
